The COVID-19 outbreak and the suspension in tourism had a severe impact on the Nang Loeng community, which is home to many traditional Thai theatre and dance practitioners. When already struggling families began to lose their means of support, the E Loeng group and active Nangkoeng community members had to act immediately to mobilize the community. A robust support network was in place by the time illness began to spread through the community

To aid the neighborhood through this, we started the Community x COVID-19 project. We donate food and supplies virtually every day, and we were constantly doing so throughout the most recent COVID-19 outbreak. We were also the main source for medical supplies, which helped to ensure that everyone in the neighborhood had access to vaccines. Despite being worn out, we continued.
